The Blake Hotel

The friendly staff delivered morning coffee and cleaned our room every day with care. The front desk team also very professional and friendly. Their excellent care made our stay extra special. The spacious deluxe room with the king-side bed and mini kitchenette was just what we needed for the 3-night stay as my trip was a combination of work/pleasure where I needed to work from the room in most days. The reception/lobby area is very inviting and equipped with sofas and work areas. We did not get an opportunity to use the bar area but it seems like a good place if you prefer a quieter spot to unwind in the evening instead of any of the more vibrant eateries in the area.

Great location, great amenities, friendly staff. Everyone we encountered - and I mean everyone - who worked at the Blake Hotel were friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, great rooftop bar, and access to a free laundry room (came in very handy during our stay). Valet parking was very convenient. We found our "go to" hotel for our trip to CT to visit friends and family.

Surpassed all expectations! I never normally write reviews but I needed to share how great this place is! The staff are so welcoming and were really accommodating to all our requests. They were incredibly efficient and we never had to wait to be seen at reception which was very impressive. The rooms are heavenly! One of the comfiest beds I’ve stayed in. The kitchen in the rooms are super useful too. Wonderful morning coffee service that delivers straight to you room was such a treat! Also have to mention how incredible this hotel smells! The scent in the lobby and in the rooms was delightful and really added to the welcoming vibe. These small details are always so lovely and you can tell how this hotel pays attention to the little things like this. This is the third hotel we’ve tried in New Haven and our favourite one by far! We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable!

Very clean, modern style, big room. We were staying with two teenage girls and had plenty of space for our luggage and to get ready at the same time. Gym was better than most hotels! Nespresso coffee maker in the room was a nice touch. Location is great! Just a few blocks from Yale and Little Italy for exceptional New Haven Pizza

Great location of the hotel, near downtown with a lot of restaurants and places to walk and enjoy. A lot of parkings around if you are traveling by car. Walking distance to some nice city sightseeings, like Yale university or museums around. Check-in process is easy, hotel will block extra 300$ in case of any damage, but promised to release it in 3-5 business days. Elevators are little bit slow - sometimes you need to wait a bit longer, but it's very minor. Also - very interesting complimentary coffee delivery at the morning, when you can select time and get fresh morning coffee. Room is very comfortable and well maintained. Overall - I definitely enjoyed my stay and I will consider reserving it again if I'm in the area.
